Our Story
Family Of Hope is a movement of churches working together to change the nation through a network of church leaders, national gatherings, training events and resources. Giving God all the glory he deserves.
To enable this to happen there are people and teams all across the nation pushing this common vision. All this requires time, investment and application of the gifts God has given to each of us.
Why Give?
When I give to the church, I’m giving to God, and He has been very good to me. Everything I have is a gift from God, and giving to the church is an opportunity for me to express gratitude for what He has done for me, and to bring back to Him what is His anyway.
It feels good to give generously – it really does. A person who doesn’t understand that has never given generously. The happiest people in the world are the most giving people. Guilt never motivates people to give. Giving that is motivated by guilt only lasts as long as the guilt does. So you never use guilt to motivate people to give. You use joy to motivate people to give.
Make a Difference
God’s promise is that when we bring the tithe (10% of what we earn or are given) to the storehouse ( the local house of God), heaven opens up and God pours more blessing into our lives than we can contain. Debbie and I have been tithing throughout our thirty-two years of marriage, and we both tithed before we were married. So many times God has provided for us financially, and He has blessed our lives in countless other ways as well. We are living proof that you can never out give God!
Everything we own and everything we have comes from God. So, when we give, we simply offer him a small portion of the abundance he has already given to us. Giving is an expression of our thankfulness and praise to God. It comes from a heart of worship that recognizes everything we have and give already belongs to the Lord.
Being a Christian is more than just an instantaneous conversion – it is a daily process whereby you grow to be more and more like Christ.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.
